Reviving Creativity

Ok so last week, I did something. Something I've been thinking about for a year now. One year ago, my sister in law got a Bernina. If you know what that is, then you are like me and probably drooling a little. Well I drooled for a year. I looked a the Bernina website for a year. I even pulled out my old machine and tried to use it about three months ago. I wanted to make a shirt for my husband. It was to be a very special shirt. Homemade by me. Now isn't that special?! But my old machine was kaput. I guess 10 moves and my taking it apart four or five times killed it. Actually I could have taken it to a repair shop and gotten it fixed. But what the heck, I make pretty good money and Bernina was calling.

I did it. I broke down and bought it. I got the fancy one that does it all. I've been embroidering and even started working on that special shirt this weekend. But drat.. halfway through the shirt project, I found out I am going to have to buy an iron.

For the last 10 years I have not ironed. I detest, nay HATE, ironing. It is my nemisis. I pay others to iron for me. I do not like to do it. No, I do not! But if you are going to use Ms. Bernina... then you must use an iron just a wee bit to make things lay flat before you pass the wonderfulness of Bernina over them. I thought about taking Bernina back... for like 5 seconds. I think Bernina is one of the coolest things next to a Lamborghini Aventador that has ever been designed and built by humans. Would I trade Bernina for an Aventador. ABSOLUTELY!
